Well, of course

Mercy came up to me yesterday and begged for her sunglasses. Besides the fact these urgent requests are timed exactly to my being on the phone, there were a couple other factors that made this appeal bizarre. We were in the house; it was dark and snowy; and this is the kid who will scream and whine if the the sun is in her eyes in the car, but refuses to keep sunglasses on.

Taking the path of least resistance, I went and got the sunglasses and put them on her. As she was walking away: "Danks. Dey will keep my eyes warm."

Well, of course. Silly me.
